• Freshman Tryouts -- Fieldhouse from 3:30 - 6 p.m.

• Sophomore Tryouts

  • Begins -- Monday, Nov. 11 @ the Sportscenter from 3:30 - 6 p.m.

  • Final day -- Tuesday, Nov. 12 w@ the Sportscenter from 6 - 8:30 p.m.
     

• Varsity Tryouts 

  • Begins -- Monday, Nov. 11 @ the Sportscenter from 3:30 - 6 p.m.

Informational Meetings

There will be two opportunities to get information for boys basketball tryouts. Both meetings will be on Tuesday, Oct. 29. All players can attend either a brief meeting after open gym in the Sports Center (7:15 a.m.) or after school in room 2004 (3:45 p.m.). Players only need to attend one meeting. Please email Coach Benson (wbenson@d125.org) with any questions.

Coach Benson is entering his 16th year teaching and 14th year as a head coach, with this being his first year at Stevenson. Previously, he was the head boys’ basketball coach at Harvard High School, Marengo High School and has spent the last 9 years at Huntley High School. In his lone year at Marengo, he helped the team win 20 games for the first time in 14 years. At Huntley, Benson helped lead the Raiders to 2 regional championships and tied the school record for wins in a season (27) twice in the last 3 seasons. Coach Benson has been married to his wife (Sarah) for 17 years and has 2 daughters (Grace-15, Emily-8) and a son (Brady-10).
