Stevenson’s Allied Sports Program Philosophy
A co-ed interscholastic program that provides opportunities for students with disabilities who would not otherwise be able to participate in our athletic programs.

Participants
- Allied Student-Athlete: A student who cannot participate in the District 125 existing co-curricular athletic programs, even with reasonable modifications or aids and services.
- Allied Student Partner: A student who meets the criteria for District 125 athletic participation.
- Restriction or Participation: Student-athletes participating in the same sport (bowling) in the winter season will be prohibited from competing as an Allied student-athlete. Appropriate participation for such a student-athlete may take place as a student partner.

Maureen Rubenstein
Mrs. Rubenstein is in her 22nd year of teaching at SHS. She is one of the building Literacy Coaches and she teaches in the Special Education Division. During her time at SHS she has coached cheerleading (1 year), gymnastics (4 years) and Allied Spirit (9 years). Mrs. Rubenstein has been married to her husband (Ryan) for 20 years and has 2 daughters (Cami-14 and Kallie-12).
Nicole Moss
Coach Moss is in her 7th year of teaching and her 5th year of coaching Allied Spirit. She enjoys coaching Allied Spirit as it brings together a wonderful group of students at SHS in a fun and inclusive environment. Coach Moss is a special education teacher at SHS. She has been married to her husband (Riley) for 2 years.
