Head Coach Bio

Sean Wimer

Sean Wimer, a 2001 Stevenson graduate is the winningest coach in program history with over 450+ wins. He has guided the Patriots to the IHSA state tournament numerous times, winning the championship in 2017, 2021 and 2026. He also has five runner-up state finishes (2013, 2015, 2016, 2023 and 2024) and one fourth-place showing (2014).

As a student-athlete at Stevenson, Wimer earned All-America honors during his junior and senior seasons, and was named the 2001 Illinois Water Polo Player of the Year. He earned four varsity letters in water polo and swimming. After graduation, Wimer played for Loyola Marymount University for four seasons.
