Athletic Hall of Fame: Class of 2024

The Stevenson athletic community is extremely humbled by the accomplishments of the Class of 2024. We are eager to have these five individuals within the Hall of Fame and believe they embody and represent what it means to be a Patriot. 

Ian Cronin

Ian Cronin was a standout runner at Stevenson High School, winning a state championship and setting multiple records. He continued his success at Duke University, earning All-East honors multiple times and setting personal bests. After graduating, he ran professionally for 7 years, achieving Top 20 status in the United States for the 1500m.

Katie Coleman

Katie Coleman had a remarkable basketball career, excelling at both Stevenson High School and the University of Illinois. She achieved numerous accolades, including state championships, MVP awards, and school records for scoring and three-pointers. Her success led to her induction into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Kyle Brandt

Kyle Brandt was a standout athlete at Stevenson High School, excelling in both football and track and field, earning numerous awards and setting school records. He continued his football career at Princeton University, where he also discovered his passion for entertainment. After graduating, Brandt transitioned to a successful career in sports media, working for major networks and winning Emmy awards.

Michael Morrissey

Michael Morrissey was a standout three-sport athlete at Stevenson High School, excelling particularly in football where he earned numerous accolades and helped lead his team to successful seasons. He was also a valued member of the basketball and track teams, demonstrating his athletic versatility. After graduating, Morrissey continued his football career at Boston College, working his way up from a walk-on to a scholarship athlete and making significant contributions to the team.

Thomas Loew

Tom Loew, a dedicated athletic trainer and health teacher, has significantly impacted high school athletics in Illinois. His expertise in injury prevention and rehabilitation has benefited countless athletes. He has also mentored students interested in healthcare and contributed to curriculum development. Recognized for his accomplishments, Loew has been inducted into the Lake County Hall of Fame and even co-holds a patent for a shoulder stabilizer.
