Rebound Fitness, Stevenson Partner to Help Students
In 2018, Stevenson High School and Rebound Fitness and Rehabilitation entered into an agreement for physical therapy services, athletic training, and individualized sport-specific strength and conditioning. The services are available to all SHS students, faculty and staff. Rebound Fitness staff are on campus three days a week, during school hours and after school.
About
About
Stevenson’s athletic trainers and Rebound Fitness, a physical therapy and sports performance clinic based in Northbrook, work with SHS athletes, coaches and parents to insure the best possible care for student-athletes.
Stevenson supplies one full-time athletic trainer, and Rebound Fitness provides several part-time athletic trainers three days a week on campus. There also are many student athletic trainers who study and learn with hands-on experiential education.
All Stevenson athletic trainers are board-certified and hold licensure with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.

Student Trainers
Student Trainers
Athletic Training Students (ATS) have the opportunity to learn what athletic trainers do. This includes hands-on experience doing such things as taping, wound care, injury care, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Students also have the opportunity to help with game and practice coverage.
Athletes who want to stay involved with sports are encouraged to become an ATS during their off season.
Hours also count for community service.
